Ethical principles for authors

„GHOSTWRITING" BARRIER AND „GUEST AUTHORSHIP"

1. „Ghostwriting" (one of the Authors of the text is omitted in authors' acknowledgement) and „guest authorship" (including information about co-editing a given text by the Author who, in fact, was not involved in preparing the text) are an act of scientific misconduct.

2. The Editors' Office requires the Authors to disclose information about contribution of the individual Authors in the whole article.

3. Detected cases of „ghostwriting" or „guest authorship" will be disclosed and the relevant institutions, with whom the unethical Authors cooperate, will be informed.

4. The Editors' Office requires the Authors to disclose information about the funding sources for the publication.

5. The Editors' Office will document all forms of violation of science ethics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHOR

  • Reporting standards: The author of reports of original research shall present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an impartial description of its significance. Underlying data shall be represented accurately in the paper and shall contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work.
  • Originality and plagiarism: The author shall guarantee that the submitted paper is original. Plagiarism and fraudulent data constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and are unacceptable.
  • Multiple or concurrent publication: The author shall not submit concurrent papers (or papers essentially describing the same subject matter) to multiple journals. Likewise, the author shall not submit any paper previously published anywhere to the journals for consideration.
  • Data access retention: Publishers, editors, reviewers, and readers are entitled to request the author to provide the raw data for his or her research. Thus, the author shall be prepared to provide public access to such data, and shall be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication of their paper.
  • Authorship of the paper: The author shall give due acknowledgement to all of those who have made significant contributions to the research and list them as co-authors. Moreover, the corresponding author shall ensure all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
  • Acknowledgement of sources: In case author used work and/or words by others, appropriate citations are required.
  • Fundamental errors in published works: The author has an obligation to inform the journal editor once they discover a significant error or inaccuracy in the published paper and cooperate earnestly with the editor in retraction or correction based on the medium of publication.
  • Conflicts of interest: The author must declare any sources of funding and potential conflicting interest, such as receiving funds or fees by, or holding stocks and shares in, an organization that may profit or lose through publication of the paper.
