Shame and shamelessness
Abstract
The author analyses other terms related to the feeling of shame (shamelessness, shamefulness, shaming) and links them to the culture of shame, the culture of guilt, shameless politics and the shaming of others, providing a knowledgeable overview of the most important works in the history of philosophy, literature and psychology, which enable the category of shame to be viewed from different perspectives.
